"Sowa Oil Sweep" is an oil-absorbent material for recovering spilled oil, with excellent adsorption capabilities for various fuel oils and lubricants. By making the fibers of the absorbent part into a fibrillated (mesh-like) structure, it allows oil to easily entangle. Since the material is made of PP (polypropylene), it has low water absorption and floats on the water surface for a long time. Additionally, it rises about 5 cm above the water surface, which is effective in preventing the spread of oil to the surrounding area.
